Do builders use their own products?

This is a question always comes to my mind whether the builders who create amazing products, use their own products or not!

To be truthful about it, I am looking for an answer for myself. I have two lifetime Ghost blog subscription. Technically, until the service is there my blog will be freely hosted for life. Then what is the need of switching to another platform?
